@marieclairemag names kyrstensinema to their list of Women to Watch on Election Day!

Democrat Kyrsten Sinema is a staunch supporter of both same-sex marriage and women’s rights (she’s a sponsor of the Paycheck Fairness Act.) These stances align with Sinema’s personal life: She’s the first openly bisexual man or woman to be elected to Congress. Besides these issues, she’s a been a longtime supporter of the nation’s veterans, as well as women, families, and seniors.

#ReduceReuseRepublican (Happy Earth Day!)

The only type of pro-environment policies Republicans are interested in is recycling their own candidates. Here are just 5 of the re-run GOP candidates that we’d like to see in the compost pile in November.

Scott Brown, MA-SEN

Scott Brown, MA-SEN

Scott lost to Elizabeth Warren in the Massachusetts Senate race in 2012 - and now he’s back to run for Senate against Jeanne Shaheen…in New Hampshire.

Frank Guinta, NH-01

Frank Guinta, NH-01

Frank lost to Carol Shea-Porter in 2012. Aaaaaand he’s looking to do it again this year.

Steve Lonegan, NJ-03

Steve Lonegan, NJ-03

Steve ran for Senate in 2013 and was definitely not the winner of that race. So now he has set his sights on the House seat in New Jersey’s 3rd district. Good thing we have Aimee Belgard.

Bobby Schilling, IL-17

Bobby Schilling, IL-17

Bobby ran against Cheri Bustos in 2012 and lost. And he’s looking to repeat again this year.

#ReduceReuseRepublican

Wendy Rogers, AZ-09

Wendy Rogers, AZ-09

Wendy didn’t even make it out of the Republican primary when she ran for Congress in Arizona’s 9th district in 2012. But she’s back anyway. We’ll place our bets on Kyrsten Sinema.
